There’s always plenty to do - for young and old
The Hauserhof is the ideal starting point for all your summer activities. It lies in the heart of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern, surrounded by numerous 3,000-meter peaks.
The beautiful environment surrounding the Hauserhof will easily coax you into taking advantage of the great variety of hikes and excursions. We especially recommend the Habach Valley, with the only significant emerald deposit in Europe. Of course, a respite in our Enzianhütte is a must—and of course, you’re welcome to borrow prospecting sieves, shovels and hammers.
The Tauern bicycle trail leads right past the house. From here, you can plan and launch all your adventures. The Tauern bicycle trail leads west to the famous Krimml Waterfalls. The side-valleys of the Salzach River Valley are ideal for mountain bikers. Krimmler Achental, Lower and Upper Sulzbach Valley and the Mühlbach Valley are just waiting to be explored from the seat of a bicycle.
Excursions and Sightseeing
Bramberg am Wildkogel and the entire surrounding region offer many attractions and destinations. Visits the Krimml Waterfalls and its water wonderland directly from the Hauserhof. It’s quick and easy to reach by car, but it’s also a beautiful bike tour for the whole family.
Or you make an excursion to the Großglockner - the highest peak in Austria—just an hour’s drive from the Hauserhof. The view from the top is magnificent, especially in fine weather, and well worth the toll.
A tip for rainy summer days: the Wilhelmgut Mineral Museum in Bramberg - a must for any mineral enthusiast. It has been extensively renovated and offers lots of information about the area in general and the minerals in particular.
